Winter cloth Drive

SA Foundation’s Winter Fund Cloth Drives help families in need with warm clothing for the harsh winter months of December, January and February. It’s not just for comfort: going outside without adequate protection against the cold is dangerous. During the winter, the elderly are at a higher risk of heart attacks, and children are vulnerable to hypothermia and pneumonia.

Winter places a huge strain on the budgets of many families. Your gift of winter clothing will directly benefit those who need it the most.

Your warmth of donation can comfort the children, needy men, and women. You can care for those who feel forgotten and vulnerable like orphans and widows. You can join in the reward by helping these people by donating to our cause.

Share your warmth to help people in Bangladesh where people in the North part of the Country suffer the most. Your donations directly provide warmth, allowing families to focus resources on other necessities.

Serve a Meal

Serve A Meal program, which serves fresh hot meals to the underprivileged and homeless. On a regular basis, SAF collaborates with local volunteers and community partners to feed and offer food assistance to homeless individuals and families in need.

So far, the Serve A Meal initiative has been a huge success thanks to our partnerships with local community partners in Dhaka and Barishal, Bangladesh.

SA Foundation also operates a Friday Lunch that offers opportunities to assist in serving over 100 hot, nutritious meals to community members on selected Friday afternoons.

These programs are dedicated to feeding families facing hunger, and the program offers volunteering and donation opportunities. Volunteers can participate in preparing and delivering hundreds of meals during community events and holiday lunch and dinners.

Volunteer and participate with us in removing hunger. Make your generous Donations

Ramadan Food Drive

Ramadan a month of blessing in which Muslims worldwide fast for a month. The fast is a self-discipline and sacrifice practice that allows self-cleanse, practice patience, and reflect on those less fortunate, living in poverty, or experiencing turbulent lives through no

fault of their own. In this month Allah (SWT) covers people with blessings, sends down mercy, decreases sins, and answers prayers. Allah looks at competition in good deeds and boasts about you to His angels.

Honoring the traditions of this blessed month unfortunately turns into hardships for too many families in need. Hence Ramadan is an opportunity to give charity to feed the needy and your donations are so powerful as such. Not only do you fulfill the charitable obligations Allah (SWT) has set, but you also help relieve at least a little of the burden that a struggling family faces.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, Sofia Alauddin Foundation’s Ramadan Meal Project provides food to people who are in need of it.

Our Ramadan Food Package Program

Ramadan Food Packages can extend the food supplies for a family of seven for the entire 30 days of Ramadan that include staple items sensitive to the local diet like rice oil, sugar, lentils, rice, canned fish, dates, tea, and more.

For $150, you can help alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters around the world with 30-days’ worth of essential food items.

There is an increase in both obligatory and voluntary donations during Ramadan. These contributions include

  • Zakat
  • Zakat al-fitr
  • Kafera
  • Fiday
  • Ramadan iftar donation

With $150 of your Zakat or Sadaqa money you provide a family of seven with staples like oil, sugar, rice, and dates for the entire 30 days of Ramadan. Your generosity nourishes the souls and relieves hardships of families during the month of Ramadan
