Scholarship Program

SA Foundation provides a wide range of scholarships, from $100 to several thousand dollars annually, to help students pursue their educational goals. Eligibility is flexible and takes into account educational level, field of study, school or community involvement, and financial need, giving many students the opportunity to benefit.

These scholarships are designed to help ease the financial burden of Schools and college and make students educational goals more achievable.

Applying is a great opportunity to be recognized for your hard work, dedication, and contributions to the community.

Each scholarship has its own criteria, so take the time to explore which ones best fit your strengths and achievements. Even small awards can make a meaningful difference in your academic journey.

Scholarship Guidelines and Application

Sofia Alauddin Foundation Scholarship is awarded to low-income student boys, girls, women and men with a history of outstanding academic success and an intent to give back to the community attending different levels of education. The goal of this scholarship program is to award scholarships who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend the school, college or university of their choice. The factors that we use to determine the eligibility of applicants include level of financial need and scholastic achievement. Due to systemic inequity, policies, and discrimination, the Foundation prioritizes applications. We encourage students from underprivileged families irrespective of gender, religion and location. If you are eligible and would like to apply, please follow: Scholarship Application Form

Students apply through their respective Institute, and the program provides scholarships over two years. Award decisions are made by the Scholarship Committee of the SA Foundation based on the recommendation of leadership of the applicant’s School/College or University.

Scholarship Philosophy

At the SA Foundation, we believe that education should be free, and everyone, regardless of their financial situation, should be able to attend university and pursue their academic goals without added stress or barriers. No one should have to tell their life story to a committee or compete for limited spots when seeking an education.

Unfortunately, this is not the reality, and scholarships are an important tool to access higher education. Therefore, with limited scholarship funding, applications help us assess the financial need and history of academic achievement for each student. We believe all of our applicants are accomplished in their own right and our goal is to support as many students as possible, especially those who might not have the opportunity to attend university otherwise.

Monthly Scholarship for Elementary and Secondary Level

Empowering Communities

Scholarships at the primary and secondary levels are primarily awarded based on merit. Stipends are categorized by merit and general grade, providing qualifying students with monthly cash payments and annual grants until Class 5 or Class 10.

Several of these scholarship recipients since this program launched in 2005, have graduated and contributed as professionals to our society to uplift other needy students and community.

Some of our current monthly scholarship recipients can be found Here. Interested students are encouraged to apply online for this scholarship by filing up this form.

One-time yearly achievement award

A one-time yearly achievement award recognizes students for an exceptional, singular accomplishment over a 12-month study period. This Merit scholarship is given at the beginning of each year around January and February. We consider the merit list published by the academic institutions as well as recommend letters from teachers at the respective institute. Student family’s financial status is also taken into consideration in the selection process of this scholarship.

The scholarship money is given in faith to be used in supporting future education. The amount of each scholarship varies with the student’s level of study,

We conduct three sub-programs under this category:

  • Award for university students
  • Award for college students
  • Award for high school students

Assistance in Physical Infrastructure for Needy Educational Institute

Empowering Communities

For a needy educational institute, assistance with physical infrastructure typically breaks down into three core needs: facility construction/renovation, technology access, and operational furnishings.

Sofia Alauddin Foundation as a nonprofit resource leveraged to address these needs.

We aid in rebuilding schools damaged by natural disasters like Tornado, flood etc.

SA Foundation also provides different technological accessories in aiding smooth operation such as computers, a badly needed equipment. Ceiling fans are also donated to help relieve hot weather in the classrooms. Sometimes furniture like Desk, table/Chairs cabinets and stationaries also donate to the needy institutes.

You may also join with us to help the vulnerable educational Institute especially in rural communities through Donations.
