Safe Water and sanitation

Transforming Lives Through Access To Clean Water

Right now, every single minute, lives are being lost because the safe drinkable water, people are forced to drink is contaminated. Hundreds of families suffer from diarrhea and cholera by not having clean drinkable water and having poor sanitation predicaments.

SA Foundation addresses this crisis around access to water by building sustainable water projects, such as deep tube wells and rainwater catchment and purification systems to help communities get access to clean and safe drinking water.

But you can help by donating to our clean water projects. Together, our support can end the water crisis and restore hope to one community at a time. Every gift is directly linked to a specific water project and community. Lives change when communities gain access to clean water. Let's experience it together. Donate to our fundraising campaign today!

What We Are Doing

Empowering Communities

Provide Hygiene education

People are vulnerable to waterborne diseases. Educating communities on maintaining their water systems and practicing good hygiene to prevent.

A Good Education begins with access to safe water and proper sanitation.

In the Education on hygiene project, SA Foundation carried out in rural settings through community-led, interactive approaches that address both knowledge and infrastructure, such as using drama, school workshops, and local "model homes" to promote handwashing with soap, safe water storage, and improved sanitation. Effective programs focus on reducing disease by involving local leaders to ensure sustainability, rather than just delivering supplies.

Educate children through schools to become change agents, as they often bring new behavior back to their families.Distribution of posters, pamphlets, and infographics in public spaces like markets, schools, and near water sources.Project activities Focused on critical hygiene times (before eating/preparing food, after using the toilet), proper handwashing steps, safe fecal disposal, and safe water handling. Focus on using soap and cleaning under nails (Hand washing).Teach safe food preparation, covering food, and washing utensils (Food Hygiene) Focus on Environmental Sanitation that Promote proper garbage disposal and restricting animals from roaming near living areas

Construct and Install Deep Tube Wells

Clean water is dignity. But in rural Bangladesh thousands of people have been denied this right. They lack clean water and adequate sanitation. A deep tube well is designed to extract clean, consistent groundwater from deep, confined aquifers that can servs rural, agricultural, or industrial needs.

To provide a steady source of clean water for a community, a community of 5-10 homes can serve by connecting and maintaining one Tube well.

For $750, you can help to install a tube well in a village, saving hundreds of lives from long walks and diseases. This is not temporary aid. It’s a long-term solution that restores health, dignity and hope, the gift of safe and clean drinking water.

Rainwater Harvesting

Our project aims to devise a rainwater harvesting project that captures filters to purify, and stores rooftop runoff for non-potable uses like irrigation, toilet flushing, and laundry. Core components include roof gutters, downspouts, a first-flush diverter to remove debris, and a storage tank or rain barrel. Such systems, lessen stormwater runoff, and provide a sustainable, high-quality water source.

Financial Assistance for Cataract Surgery

Cataracts are a leading cause of Blindness, thousands of needy people in Bangladesh go blind every year because they can’t afford basic cataract surgery. Your efforts will help them in restoring their vision.

A cataract is a clouding of the eye’s lens, which blocks or changes the passage of light into the eye. The lens of the eye is located behind the pupil and the colored iris and is normally transparent. The lens helps to focus images onto the retina – which transmits the images to the brain.

Vision becomes blurry or dim because the cataract stops light from properly passing through to your retina.

SA Foundation steps in examining and helping the needy, especially in the rural areas, to arrange the required treatment. Your generous contribution will help in restoring their eyesight and get back to their normal daily life.
